WIDELY KNOWN TURFMAN PASSES AWAY. New Orleans. La.. February is. — I. 1". Strode, a ■veil known Texas turfman, died here today after a brief illness of ;mt anionia. Mr. Strode, with Ins son J. A. Strode, had a large stable of horses racing at the Fair Grounds this winter, and his horses were successful in winning their share of moos. He had beea kteattfed with the turf for years an I raced boraea at practical]] evarj race track in tins country and Canada. ;. Brail as in Cuba one season.
