CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. The horses belonging to C. H. Brwwae, which are wintering at Palmetto Park. Charleston, are re ported in excellent condition to begin their preliminary work for spring racing. J. Fred Gerbardy, who will act aa secretary at Basel Park. Hot Springs, was bajsy Tuesday afternoon assigning stall space to the owners at Oak-lawn who will race at that track. The big che-tuut -on of Colin. King Ilerod. of which great thlags were expected last summer, bat did not materialise owing mainly to bucked shin-, is -aid to have wintered exceptionally well at Charleston and is expected to show his true form a* a tkicc-ycar-olil.
