CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. J. E. Seagrams Kings Plater Sturdee is not a good work horse and perforins much better with blinkers on than without. Mausolus. Never Fear, Joe Gaiety, Royal Spinner and Tropaeolum are being schooled in the steeplechase field at Woodbine. With the ,500 Kings Plate, the ,000 Minto Stakes and the ,000 Woodbine Steeplechase, the added money for the other races to be run today brings it up to a total of about 4,000 to be distributed among owners on the first day of the Ontario Jockey Clubs meeting.
