CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Jockey J. Callahan rode four1 out of six winners at Kenilworth Park Monday. Richard Allman of Coulee City, Washington, reports :l splendid brown colt-foal by Sager Lady Kee-vee-na. Mare returned to Sager. R. O. Egans nigh Cost seems to fancy any kind of going, is a fast beginner, has keen speed and is one of the best two-year-olds seen around Montreal this summer. There are still rumors to the effect that Canadian racing -will be continued after August 1, Some reports saying that the Canadian government Will grant an extension to October 1. The dockers at Saratoga and in the west, rate St. Augustine the fastest two-year-old in tlin McDowell string and the Kentucky sportsman is not inclined to dispute the point with them. O. A. Bianehi has recently purchased Lady Ku them, bay filly, 3, by Marathon Aiuico C. by Water-color, from John lniil and froin FrUhk Brown, Bell Cow, chestnut filly, 3, by Cunard Eonie by Eon. Both mares will be bred to Jim Gaffney next year.
