EMPIRE CITY RACING STATISTICS. James Butler the Leading Money-Winning Owner His Colt Spur Best Winner. Tire summer meeting of the Empire City Racing Association, which began at the hilltop track in Yonkers on July 13, and came to an end on July 31, embraced sixteen days of racing, during which time ninety-six races were decided and 12,780 was distributed in stakes ami purses. The daily average distribution amounted to ,048. The attendance was of a satisfactory standard throughout the meeting, the racing high-class and spirited, witli large fields contesting in a majority of the races. James Butlers stable met with phenomenal success, his horses winning twelve races, finishing second ten times and third on eight occasions, accounting for 0,027 in stable earnings.
