BETLESS MEETING AT XEMPTON PARK. Montreal, Que., August 1. Manager Sam Hol-man of Kempton Park announced yesterday that a thirty-day betless meeting would be run at the La Prairie course, opening on August 11. He intends to have the purses paid by subscription, while he also states that five Rices will be run each day and that good transportation will be provided. Martin Nnthunson left for his home in Chicago at the conclusion of the Mount Royal Park meeting, while starter Tribe leaves for Baltimore. Grant Hugh Browne shipped his entire stable to Saratoga last night for the auction sale, which will lie held there on Thursday. Word was received here today that the government had granted an extension of sixty days to 1 the Canadian racing season, but a communication sent to- Ottawa was not answered so that everything is still indefinite.
