RACING RECORD OF SHOOTING STAR Shooting Star, which died en route from Maryland to Oriental Park, Cuba, was a four-year-old son of Star Shoot Bonnie Blue II., and was owned by the Cuban turfman A. Lezama, who purchased the colt last year from J. W. Hedrick while racing at Havana. Shooting Star did not race as a two-year-old and only started in ten races, of which he won three, when a three-year-old. During the present year Shooting Star raced with a fair measure of success, especially in the fall at the Maryland tracks. He started in twenty races, won six, finished second twice and third on seven occasions, his winnings amounting to ,307.
