AT SEA OVER MARYLAND SITUATION Annapolis Md February 1 The delegation spon ¬ soring tile bill which if passed would wipe out racing in Maryland was given a hearing before the situate judiciary committee yesterday It is not be ¬ lieved that the committee will report the bill favor ¬ ably ablyIn In addition to the bill against racing which is modeled on the Hughes bill of New York there are two other liills before the senate one introduced by Mr Frick asking for a statewide racing commis ¬ sion and assessing the tracks SJoUO a day for the use of the state The other is fathered by Mr Duval also asking for a racing commission but milking the tariff only 1000 per diem diemThe The friends of racing seem to think that nothing will come of any of these bills and the situation will remain as it is now nowA A bill was introduced in the house yesterday aft ¬ ernoon asking for a racing commission for Prince Georges county so as to put Howie on the same rating as Pimlico and Havre de Grace Howie is now compelled to get a license from the judges of the Circuit court three in number numberLast Last fall the license was granted by a majority voto One of the judges dissented and it is report ¬ ed another will chance his vote Howies salvation seems to be a racing commission
