AINT DINAH raced BOTTIE VAXBEVEER into defeat in the first quarter, saved ground on the stretch turn, was in the softest going in the last quarter and was hard ridden at the end to outstay PENROSE. The latter was shuffled back on the far turn and came extremely wide when entering the homestretch, but finished fast and was gaining at the end. SYLVANO ran well and held the others safe. lMtTTIB VANDEVEER did not appear to run freely in the going and tired after setting the early pace. ELDERKEN, hard ridden from the start, saved ground on the turns and outstayed SlRPRlSING in the final drive. JULIA L. could never improve her ixisitioii.
