HARWOOD II. . after losing ground while rounding, the first turn, moved up on the liackstrctch and ran past the leaders on the stretch turn, winning as his rider pleased. ELLISON moved up fast in the tlmil eighth and easily disposed of the tiring TORCHBEARER. The latter raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and gave way.- DECKMATE finished well. STARFIXCH tired fast after setting the early pace. KING NEPTINE bad no mishaps. The winner, entered for ,200. was bid up and sold to J. Mairon- for .so». WOOD VIOLET began slowly and lost much ground on the first turn, but gradually wore the leaders down and was going fast at the end. AFRICAN ARROW made or forced the early pace and showed improvement. WOODTHRCSH closed a big gap. KEWPIE OXEIL raced well up throughout. CURRENCY showed early s| eed. MAGXETITE and P.LAZOXRY collided while going to the first turn and eliminated themselves from the contention.
