BILLY KELLY SOLD TO J K L ROSS W F Poison Disposes of His Crack TwoTearOld for the Goodly Sum of 27500 Saratoga N Y August 10 There was a flurry of excitement when it became generally known just lefore the yearling sale began in the Fasig Tipton arena last night Commander J K L Koss had purchased Billy Kelly from W F Poison for 27500 The price was stated by Mr Poison The transfer was consummated late last night nightMr Mr Poison departed tonight for his home in Buf ¬ falo I offered to sell Billy Kelly for 20000 while in Kentucky and before his victories here he could have been had for the sanw sum and no one thought well enough to take him The colt has netted me a profit of over 45000 and has cer ¬ tainly been a splendid investment IIU is a good colt and will win himself out for his new owner this year if he retains his present good form formThe The other horses in the Poison string will be shipped to Kentucky to be raced at the close of the meeting here hereBilly Billy Kelly will probably only fill his engagement in the Grab Bag Handicap to which he is eligible and then be transferred to Maryland to engage in the fall racing on tracks in that state
