NEW ZEALANDS CHIEF WINNING OWNER Good Fortune Attending T H iowrys Campaign ¬ ing with a Small Stable T II Lowry won much more stake money than any other New Zealand or Australian owner during the past season In New Zealand where he resides his horses put together 50925 and in Australia Desert Gold accounted for 20795 Mr LoAvrys aggregate for the year was therefore 71720 but that is considerably behind his 19151G total in New Zealand nlone of 80220 Another New Zea lander in G D Greenwood is second in the win ¬ ning list for New Zealand and Australia for the recent season his total being 57485 of which Biplane won him 51485 overt here and i00 in the Dominion I am unaware how long Mr Ixwry has been racing but merely dating from the 18951 season his horses have credited him with a little over 400000 in stakes in New Zealand alone and in addition to Desert Gold Mr I wry has had a good winner in Australia in Bobrikoff I do not think I am at fault in stating that Mr Lowry has never had a large team of horses in work and as in the past twentythree years he has probably collected the greater part of 450000 in prize money in New Zealand and Australia he certainly has not found racing unprofitable His New Zealand record from and inclusive of the 18950 season is as follows tliQ figures being those given in the New Zealand 15105 15105isor isor 1907 Pilot in Sydney Kefcree
