RACING IN FRANCE IS EXPANDING Paris France October 3 The brilliant successes of the allies in northern France are having due effect in the republic generally with the result that the series of selected races which had been arrested in the spring will now be proceeded with in the autumn autumnThe The Jockey Club has decided to organize a series of reunions at Maisons Laffitte and ten dayfe racing on each of which six events will be decided have been determined upon as follows October 15 17 21 24 2S and 31 and November 7 11 and 14 A sum of 59000 will be given 40000 by the Jockey Club and dEncouragementThe 19200 by the Societe dEncouragement The Bordeaux Club will also proceed with their meeting for AngloArab horses while the Steeple ¬ chase Society will fulfill twelve days racing be ¬ tween October 3 and December 3 In the case of the latter organization the prize money will amount tb 50000 The conditions of the races will be the same as in tlie spring program they will be for horses eight years old ami under
