BIG WESTERN STABLES GOING TO CUBA Horses of Williams Bros and Kay Spcnce to Bo Eaced at Havanas Winter Meeting Cincinnati O October 28 AVilliams Bros nntl Kay Spence who stood first antl second respect ¬ ively in the list of the moneywinning owners at the close of last years winter race meeting of 105 days at Oriental Park the beautiful home of the CubaAmerican Jockey Club were so well satis fled with the results of their initial trip to Cuba that both are planning to engage on an extensive scale in the racing which lias been announced to extend over one hundred or more days at the Cuban track during the coming winter season beginning with Thanksgiving Day November 28 28The The horses of these two important stables have been campaigned exclusively in Kentucky since their return from Cuba last spring and they will form an important part of the big shipment of horses alreadybooked to go forward to Cuba from this section of the United States next month Tin Williams stable has been strikingly successful in Kentucky having headed the list of moneywinning owners at Louisville and Latonia I J Williams to whose skill as a trainer the success of the stable in Cuba last winter and hereabouts is due will be in charge of the twenty horses that will carry the colors of this popular racing establishment in Cuba next winter and jockey J Howard will go along as the stables first jockey FauxCol and Sedan will he the stars of the Williams shipment to Cuba The first named will be liberally nominated for the longer distance Cuban stake events announced to close on Monday November 4 while Sedan will bo depended upon to carry the colors of the stable in the sprinting stakes stakesThe The Spence shipment to Cuba will likewise con ¬ sist of something like twenty horses headed by that highclass handicap horse Hodge which lias recently gone into training again after having been on the shelf all summer for the correction of aii infirmity that interrupted his preparation for racing last spring
