GREAT LAKES GUN CLUB For the last six months or more there has been a gun club at the Great Lakes Xaval Training Station which up to the present time has l een shooting once or twice a weok hut which has not had any regular program of events the men in training at the station going to the club when ¬ ever they conM get away from their labors and shooting as much is time would permit all or nearly all of them believing that the practice they thus got before the trays would be of great value to them when they got into action facing the enemy enemyXow Xow however a nice cuji has been provided and regular program shoots will lie held for it and the winner whoever he may lie will when the events for it close receive a handsome piece of silverware as a trophy emblematic of his prowess prowessIn In its good work the club needs all the help and encouragement it can get from outside shooters both professionals in l amateurs md it will there ¬ fore cordially welcome anyone to the grounds who is disposed to heli the club along by his presence presenceTo To reach the club from Chicago by the North Slnr traction line get off it Cyclone Station and go three blocks east and by automobile go three blocks cast of North Chicago and the same dis ¬ tance from the Northwestern station stationMost Most people think it is difficult to get into the station but the club is not located in the stn ticu it is onehalf mile north of the main gate The club has a beautiful club house with heat and other comforts and it is a nice place for shooters to take their wives and enjoy a Saturday afternoon The club expects to shoot every Sat ¬ urday afternoon all winter winterHere Here therefore is an opportunity for trap shooters who for some good and sufficient reason are not in the draft to encourage and assist those who have been called to the colors and we pre ¬ sume dozens upon dozens of them both profession ¬ als and amateurs will cheerfully lend a helping hand and send the boys to the front prepared to take the scalp of every enemy of this country American Field
