CONNAUGHT PARK IS EXPENSIVE Ottawa Ont November 1 At the annual gen ¬ eral meeting of the shareholders of the Connaught Park Jockey Club all last years officers were re elected and the vacancy on the directorate caused through the death of the late E S Skead was filled by the election of J McDougall Incidentally there is said to have been some discussion as to the desirability of liquidating the club and dis ¬ posing of the property The cost of maintenance during the past year was about 7000 and the de ¬ preciation was also heavy making the total expen ¬ diture for the year approximately 20000 Owing to the suspension of racing there was no revenue of any kind kindThe The officers are President Hon Senator II A Belcourt vicepresidents Sir Clifford Sifton T A Hearne and G F Fauqnier honorary treasurer E S Houston honorary secretary C Koss
