SARATOGA STAKES CLOSE NOVEMBER 27 New York November 15 Announcement is made by the Saratoga Racing Association of five two yearold stake fixtures tiiat will be decided at the August meeting next year as well as two three yearold fixtures for the meeting of 1920 all of which are to close for entries Wednesday Novem ¬ ber 27 27The The twoyearold stakes are renewals of the old fixtures the United States Grand Union Hopeful Grab Bag Handicap and the Spinaway which is exclusively for fillies The Unitnl States and the Grand Union each have a guaranteed value of S10000 the Hopeful has 30000 guaranteed the Spinaway 7500 and the Grab Bag 4000 4000The The old threeyearold fixtures for 1920 are the Travers worth 12510 and the Alabama for fillies worth 10010 These are also guaranteed stakes stakesSecretary Secretary A McL Earlocker who will close the Westchester Stakes Friday also has the Saratoga stak in his care and from the manner in which the horsemen have been responding to the offerings of the Westchester Racing Association it is assured that the racing season of 1919 will he one of the best iu American turf history
