R T WILSONS YOUNG RACERS OF 1919 Eleven Yearlings of Foreign and American Breeding Are Novr Quartered at Belmont Park New York November 15 R T Wilson presi ¬ dent of the Saratoga Racing Association should be well represented in the twoyearold racing of 1919 judging by the appearance of the eleven yearlings quartered at his stable at Belmont Park The progeny of Olambala Mr Wilsons favorite stallion does not predominate in this collection as has been the case in the Wilson stable for the past few years The reason for this is that Mr Wilson has purchased a nuiul er of English and French mares which were bred to fashionable foreign sires l efore being shipped to this country The offspring of these matiugs are now yearlings and include a bay colt bv Cylgad Carina by William the Third a bay colt by Mara jax Honeymoon by Matchmaker a bay colt by Rossendale Yellow Sea by Martagon a bay colt by Manijax Ma Wee Dear by Love Wisely a bay colt by Marajax Orange Lily by William the Third and a bay colt by John oGaunt oGauntThe The most striking of the Wilson yearlings are however a brown colt by Olambala Mauviette He lias a grand conformation and general makeup and upon the whole is an admirably balanced big colt bloodlike and nicy looking but at the same time le is of rather rugged type Like about all the progeny of Olambala he has great rangy and massive Ormonde quarters ana a great wealth of l one and sinew below the knee and his cannon hones are es ¬ pecially broad and flat He has strong oblique pasterns of good length and excellent feet His neck is plain and his head just a trifle coarse but all in all he is a most impressive looking colt coltAnother Another Americanbred youngster of promise is a bay colt by Luke McLuke Kerr by Uncommon Many breeders taking into account the wonderful speed and gamcness displayed by Luke McLuke during his too brief but brilliant career on the turf and his somewhat peculiar breeding are watching with great interest his prospects of success in the stud From the double cross of Domino which lie inherits from his sire ritimns and his own per ¬ formances he is expected to endow his offspring with extreme speed while from his dam Mijge bv Trenton and ins gninddam Sandfly by Isoiiomy it is predicted that he lioull transmit from the mi teriial side grand racing qualities to his get getThe The other homebreds include a big bay colt by Olambala Roman Gold a bright chestnut by Luke McLuke Booby by Voter and a chestnut colt bv Olambala Fantasque by Disguis
