W TRAVERS DISCHARGED FROM ARMY ARMYNEW NEW YORK December 22 William Travers owner and trainer and former jockey who tempor ¬ arily abandoned the turf last spring to don one of Uncle Sams uniforms in defense of his country1 has returned here Travers who was in the convoy service has been discharged from the army and is preparing to renew his turf activities either in New Orleans or Havana HavanaT T Francis of Buffalo who has been spending a few days in New York will return to his home for the holidays afterward going to New Orleans where he has a string of racers in charge of James Arthur ArthurNash Nash Turner is preparing to return to France next month Turner rode and trained horses abroad ofr several years prior to lue war
