COMEDY KINGS TRAINER IS DEAD From Australia comes the renort of the death of the well-known trainer Mr. James Lynch. He owned some useful horses himself, including Was-seca, the winner of the Grand Annual Steeplechase last year, but it is as trainer to Mr. S.: Green that he will be chiefly rememlwred. When Mr. Green went to England in 1907 Lynch accompanied him and made many friends there. On that occasion Mr. Green purchased the Gallinule mare Tragedy Queen, with a colt foal by Persimmon, for 1,700 guineas, and a happy investment it proved, for the colt was named Comedy King, and three years later won the Caulfield Futurity Stakes and Melbourne Cup.
