WORLD-WIDE FISHERMANS CATCHES An English sea angler, J. F. Vallin. now in London on a visit, has had a world-wide experience in following his favorite business and sport. In his youth Vallin had a strong inclination for a seafaring life, and following this bent he made a vovage or rather a series of voyages in which he visited a great number of places, at most of which lie did some sea fishing, varied IvUUocean fishing for albatore. bonito, etc., on the tfay. . , Among the ports, and places visited by him were Cape Town, Ceylon, Bunbury, Sydney, Samoa which furnished, he considered, the cream or all the fishing he had encountered. Hong Kong, Japan, Sail Francisco, Honolulu, Mexico, Valparaiso, Buenos Aires, Rio and Bahia a fairly comprehensive list. The fish he had taken included grouper, taller, barracouta. frigate mackerel, yellowtail, tunny, crevally, black and white sea bass, and many others some on hand line, some on the rod. Unfortunate-lv, as lie confesses, he did not know as much about sea angling then as lie does now, and. consequently did not get the enioyment he would have had if he had fished with finer tackle.
