CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF C. E. Miekelwnitc, the well-known horseman, is spending the winter at Tampa, Florida. The horses at the Fair Grounds had just rounded into good racing condition when the rain and cold weather set in, retarding training operations to a considerable extent. New Orleans is now crowded with turfmen and visitors from all parts of the country and a break in the bad weather is all that is necessary to see the Fair Grounds packed every day. According to WOrd from New Orleans it will require a lot of money and work to put the Jefferson Park track in good racing condition and repair the stables so that they will not be flooded after a heavy rainfall.
