HERES OPPORTUNITY FOR BREEDERS Clarence Kackay to Permit His Noted Stallion Spanish Prince to Stand for Public Service. NEW YORK. N. Y.. January 15. Clarence Mackay has decided to permit his celebrated English stallion Spanish Prince to stand for public service, according to an announcement in the January Racing Calendar. At the present time Spanish Prince is located at A. B. Hancocks Claiborne Farm, Paris, Kentucky. S. J. Lawlor, who for several years has trained a part of the horses owned by the Quincy Stable, has decided to start a public training stable in conjunction with two or three of his own. "I only want about a half dozen outsiders," said Mr. Lawlor. "or not more than ten in all. that being about the number one man can attend to without a whole .lot of help." Edward Heffners colors will be seen again in the coming racing season. He will shortly pay a visit to Kentucky to make purchases. It is also probable he will accept a few horses to train for outsiders, if they seem promising, but not otherwise.
