CAPT. RAL PARR RETURNS FROM FRANCE NEW YORK, N. Y., January 18. Captain Ral Parr arrived home today from France, where he was connected witli the First Army Corps. He leaves for Camp Dix tonight. "I heard but little news of racing while abroad, not being able to get any newspapers of importance," said the captain. "I rarely heard from my own horses ok, trainer, though I understand my stable did fairly well, excepting for the death of old Shannon River, which was a great favorite." In speaking of the proposed rule in regard to the elimination of geldings from stakes, the captain did not apiH-ar enthusiastic about it; in fact, he said "I am not in favor of it."
