NEW SPECIMEN OF SQUIRREL CAUGHT The capture of two white ground squirrels In a grain field at Athlone, Cal., by E. L. Burns of. that locality is affording natural historians interestiag scope for speculation. . .. The squirrels have snow white fur and pink eyes, but in all other respects resemble the ordinary ground squirrels. Burns had seen the two animnls many times running about the field and made unsuccessful attempts to trap them. He caught them finally by digging them out from their underground abode.
