i ! . i i BIG STABLES LOSING AT FAIR GROUNDS NEW ORLEANS, La., February 1. One of the surprises of the present Fair Grounds meeting has been the ill-success tliat has- attended the stables of prominent owners like E. R. Bradley, Jefferson Livingston, J. W. Schorr, J. H. Rosseter and others who in former years have figured close up in the list of winning owners. The successful stables this year are what are regarded as middle class. W. C. Clancv, not a rich man by any means, has garnered quite a snug sum and heads the list of winning owners, while G. A. Marshall, M. Shields, H. Field and G. V. Rarnes are not far behind him in the amount of money won in purses.
