HIDDEN SHIP showed the most speed from the start, but lost mucii ground by coming wide anil began tiring near the end. DIOMED raced forwardly and gamely all the way. OPPORTUNITY showed high speed in pacehiaking and disposed of SLIPPERY ELM in the first three-quarters, but tired in the stretch. DOUGLASS S. raced gamely and held on. well.
