Weirs Gus Seheer fought a duel all through the last stages of the race, and the former got the verdict by a neck, with Corson three lengths away to beat Tippler by fifteen lengths. George W. Lofts Blnzeawny showed his best form in the third race at five and a half furlongs and heat his opponents by eight lengths. He was even money in the books. Yorkville, the second choice, beat Miss Wright by six lengths for second place. After the race Mrs. C. Buxton claimed the winner for 00. The opening dash brought about the downfall of Kay Spences Foster Embry, the favorite, which finished third to Cnballo and Mandarins Coat, the winner leading by a wide gap throughout to win easing up by four lengths. In the following race Violet and Bonnie Tess were backed to the exclusion of everything else, hut loth were lmtlly. beaten. The final dash resulted in an interesting riding duel between H. Iliillmnu and Lunsford, the former 1 aiding Iiis mount. Corydon. a winner over Daybreak, on which Lunsford put up a desperate finish, however to no avail.
