VON TROMP TWO-YEAR-OLDS DO WELL NEW ORLEANS, La.. February 11. Edward Obrlans Von Tromp continues to lead the winning sires of two-year-olds since the first of the year in the number of winners, although A. R. Spreckels young stallion Runnymede is closely pressing him for first honors. During the first thirty days of the Fair Grounds meeting Vou Tromp was represented by four winners, namely. Foreclosure, winner of two races, and Airnat, Clear the Way and Lonely, each with one race to their credit. During the same period Runnymede has been represented by three winners, these being Runnan, which has scored on three different occasions; Ziziz, winner of two races, and Metein, which has won one race. It will be seen that while Von Tromp has produced one more winner than Runnymede the hitters produce have accounted for one more race than the Von Tromp representatives. Cither stallions represented in the winning columns so far this year are Wiiisk Rroom II., whose representative, Ited Red Rose, has two races to her credit; Rockton, whose representative. Pueblo, also has won two races. The following other stallions are represented by a winner: Ten Point, Cunard, Rltick Toney. Greenback, Durbar, Fair Play, Aero-mint. Aldford, Pataud and Ivan the Terrible. Of the two-year-olds already seen in action Mrs. Payne Whitneys Red Red Rose, Miss Jemima am K newer are the most fancied by the critics. Krewer is the property of T. II. Cross, of Chicago, and is highly prized by his owner. C. E.
