LATEST METROPOLITAN TURF GOSSIP NEW YORK, N. Y., February 11. Quite some business, is to be .transacted at the Jockey Club meeting next Tuesday. The principal items for consideration are license applications, proposed changes in scale weights, the gelding amendment, appointment of officials, Maryland dates -find general routine affairs. The Empire City stake conditions are out and being distributed. The stakes will be the same :ls last year in name and amounts added and the conditions identical. Condition for the Double Event Steeplechase to Ik. run at the spring and autumn meetings of tlm United Hunts Association have been framed. There are several changes. The nominating fee for this, year will be $.r00 instead of ,000, with, it 00 cup added to each race. Each nominator can name as many horses as he desires, but only one call start, which must be designated three days before the running of the race. Heretofore only two horses could be named by one nominator. Tbetlis-tance for the first race, of the Double. Event will be about two miles and the seihd race abput three miles. The sulMseriptions will close March 3 at the office of the United Hunts Association, 18 East Forty-first Street.New York
