DIAZ ENTRY VICTORIOUS -r Runs One, Two, Three in the Cuba Juvenile Stakes. Azurita, the Winner, Breaks the Oriental Park Track Record for a Half Mile. J HAVANA. Cuba. February 23. Azurita. Just Fancy and Blue Wrack, running under the colors of Seuor A. II. Diaz, nnd coupled in the betting, finished one, two, three in the Cuba Juvenile Stakes at Oriental Park tills afternoon. All three ran o;i their merits, no declaration having been made by their owner or trainer and. in a driving finish. Azurita beat Just Fancy by a short head. The -stake, to which .,200 had been added by the association, was worth ,140 to the winner. It was the first two-year-old stake feature to be run at tin? meeting and brought out a large Sunday attendance, society being well represented in all the boxes, whil the spacious grandstand was well filled with some of the most prominent families of the Cuban capital. The races were run over a fast truck. Sentimental and Call Shot,- fnrurit.es in the first anil second races, were beaten in driving finislns after each had shown in front in the final eighth. Mc-Lane beat Call Shot by a half lengthy and Ivry beat Sentimental by a scant length. Kay Siience. scored u double when his recently acquired purchase, Aulace, won the fifth, McLane .being his other winner. At the conclusion of the races at Oriental Park Saturday, a dispersal of tin stable of G. :W. Loft was held in the iwddock and the following were sold: Deekmate. William! Trainer Max Hirsch leaves for Belmont Park tomorrow to take up the division of the Loft stable, which has been wintered at that truck. Mr. Loft remains here for another week.
