KAY SPENCE SADDLES THREE WINNERS Horses from His Stable Win Half of Havana Card Close and Interesting Racing HAVANA Cuba Mnrch 19 The Spence stable was much in the limelight at Oriental Park this afternoon horses from that establishment winning half the card IT TwentyThree Blondel and Sky Man were the successful trio the first named being the property of W W Darden but is trained by Kay Spence I TwentyThrees victory came in the second race and was easily achieved wJUlaBlondel a nil SEy jiun won by Pniall margins In vliirl rlnd finishes In the Blondel race F D Weirs Earnest set a fast pace to the last eighth where both Blondel and Lackawanna passed him the fonner getting the decision in the final strides The finish of the fifth race was even closer and more exciting Sky Man having only a nose margin over Sevillian which in turn was but a neck in advance of Jake Schas and the latter only a nose to the good of Dalrose U TwentyThree and Blondel were ridden by the promising apprentice T Murray who has come to the front with rapid strides since coming here this winter winterWarm Warm weather and a fast track made conditions ideal for a good days sport and the large erowu that came to Oriental Park was not disappointed the majority of the races being well contested with the excitingThe finishes close and exciting The opener fell to Doublet II but only after a terrific struggle with Cuba the result being in doubt until the last stride Doublet II won by a neck wliile Cuba was but a head in advance of Queen Gaffney the favorite Oriental Park finish ¬ ing fourth fourthSyrian Syrian found things easy in the third and he won as his rider pleased Carey Maid at 30 to 1 getting second money The moneyThe final race of the afternoon furnished a sur ¬ prise in the defeat of the favorite Queen Trovato the winner turning up in Will Soon one of the out ¬ siders in the speculation after a stnbbornlv fought stretch drive with Cork CorkAt At the conclusion of the races this afternoon a ruling was handed out which brought the sus ¬ pension for thirty days of jockey Bullmnn besides a fine of 100 for insubordination The further entry of the horse Ambrose will also be refused
