Racing Statistics of Jamaica Meeting The first meeting of the year over the New York tracks was held under the auspices of the Metropoli ¬ tan Jockey Club at Jamaica and embraced but six days of racing during which time thirtysix races were decided and 43957 distributed in stakes and purses The daily average distribution amounted to 7326 Large crowds were in daily attendance and in every way
