DAYS RACING IN PALESTINE NEW YORK N Y June 9 William Cowan who is now a regular attendant in the clubhouse t Bolmont Park has just received a program of a lays racing in Palestine Jerusalem which was held on April 21 Six races were run on the Haifa course all of which were for horses belonging to the army and the majority were ridden by officers One race was for Arabs owned by any resident in Jerusalem There was also a steeplechase at a mile and a quarter over six jumps each jump three feet high Lieut L Andrews of the English army arranged the meeting which was exceedingly well patronized as was the parimutuel machines which were in operation
