11 Great crowds came to attend Belmont Parks spring finale and witness the running of the historic Belmont Stakes Sir Barton added another jewel to his crown when 1m captured it in the same easy fashion that sig ¬ nalized his triumphs in the Derby Ireakness and Withers He was opposed by the Coe pair Sweep On and Natural Bridge Beginning fast the Ross colt ran across the main track and entered the Bel ¬ mont loop before Loftus took him under restraint mid allowed Natural Bridge to engage in the pace making with Sweep On following This was the order until they entered the main course where the Ross candidate took the lead which he con ¬ tinued to increase until the finish was passed In the last forty yards he was being eased up by Loftus five lengths in advance of Sweep On which led his
