PEDIGREES OF FOUR HIGHBRED ONES Ancestral Lines of Omond Hasten On By Golly and the Bound the World Colt Under Pat Dunnes intelligent and skillful tute ¬ lage the threeyearold Irish colt Omond has been proving himself a downright good race horse He was bought in England as a foal by Jefferson Liv ¬ ingston for 832 and in view of his record so far this year might have been profitably retained by him His pedigree presents some unusual features especially in his descent from the almost unknown Turks Cap which however was well enough bred It now seems regrettable that Omond was declared from the Latonia Championship Stakes StakesWhile While Great Britain was still in racing and at the height of his fame Daily Racing Form pointed out that he was well qualified to carry on and keep in vigor that great Glencoe line in which Hanover had shone so brilliantly in his all too brief time in the stud He has been in stud service such a short time that his first crop of twoyearolds come into this years racing and if there are more like Hasten On he seems to be making good at once Hasten On may not have beaten much but he did it in a workmanlike way His pedigree is interesting In Claude Brown Great Britain has another good winner to his credit creditThe The recently arrived colt by Ogden Round the World is one ruout which expectations of future greatness will cluster His dam was one of the fast ¬ est things ever seen and if this baby son of hers has inherited her speed he should shine in our future racing racingIf If By Golly had not been so signally beaten in the Harold Stakes a few days back he would surely be now rated in the first flight of the twoyear olds of this year Throwing that falsely run race out and taking his two previous vidtories as a guide to his real form the conclusion tiiat he is a good colt is bound to be reached His dam was brought over from England a few years back and his pedi oroo Trin stand analysis
