SENN1NGS PARK ONCE MORE Good Colt Takes the Chief Race of Latonias Card Good Attendance Keeps Up De ¬ spite Disagreeable Track Con ¬ ditions Tippo Sahib Wins IiATONIA Ky June 27 Track conditions for todays racing were the worst experienced here dur ¬ ing the present meeting and the winners came from the ranks of the sturdier constitutioned ones The card was devoid of any outstanding features The third race which was at threequarters for a purse of 2500 served as the beadiiner both from a mone ¬ tary as well as class of horses standpoint Sennings Park scored his second successive victory in the Goldblatt colors when he triumphed by a small margin over Linden in the race Following the pair came Silvery Light The winner was not particularly favored by the going but showed the most speed Near the end he was forced to his utmost as Lin ¬ den showing improved form was gaining rapidly Under Fire made his reappearance in the race after a somewhat lengthy letup for liim but he was never dangerous Todays dangerousTodays attendance again was on par with the former big crowds and speculation did not fall far short of that of other days this too in spite of the rough usage most of the backers have been sub ¬ jected to on account of the steady failure of the favorites favoritesSennings Sennings Park was the first choice to record a victory for the backers of favorites in several days and Miss Minks followed him closely in the suc ¬ ceeding race The sport as a whole was whole ftvm and interesting despite the unwieldy fields that made the contests in mpst of the races racesMiss Miss Procter furnished the daily initial upset when she beat Antoinette in the opening race JVHss Procters improvement was sudden and she led for the entire way The wayThe Swimmer was again unlucky to lose This time Black Prince took his measure But for his greenness at the barrier and the interference he suf ¬ fered from and caused during the race he would have Avon in easy style styleMISS MISS MINKS A REPEATER REPEATERMiss Miss Minks came right back with a victory and on this occasion she won with remarkable ease An ¬ nette Teller and Nellie Witwer dividing the minor portions of the purse but had Sister Helene hail a clear course in the stretch she would have been an easy second Sosius furnished the upset in the fifth race when lie outstayed Star Baby and his victory was prob ¬ ably more due to the rough usage that Connelly subjected Star Baby to near the end than his own merits meritsTippo Tippo Sahib which has been winning consistently in these parts continued his unbroken record when he landed the sixth race after a hard drive to down Rufus Riley Harvest King managed to last long enough to retain third place and his inferior performance was attributable to the fact that Rob ¬ inson rode him through the worst part of the track during most of the race raceMarys Marys Beau died yesterday from some unknown cause causeF F St John one of the recently elected directors of the New Orleans Fair Grounds was an arrival this morning and mingled with the owners here unfolding plans for the contemplated racing next winter He painted a glowing picture of the in ¬ tentions of the present management He will re ¬ main here for several days before going on to Now York YorkS S M Henderson has decided to send his horses to the Empire City track to race before the open ¬ ing of the Saratoga meeting Jockey Robinson w H also take mounts at Empire City
