MACKAY STUD TO BE SOLD IN AUGUST NEW YORK N Y June 28 Clarence H Mackay who has been identified with racing and thoroughbred production for nearly twenty years announced yesterday through Charles F Hill that he had decided to dispose of his thoroughbred stock An absolute dispersal sale will be held in August through the FasigTipton Company Mr Hill will have charge of the preliminary arrangements as he has been closely identified with Mr Mackays thoroughbred interests for a number of years The yearsThe Mackay stud was exported to France in 1910 as a direct result of the 1908 legislation which was hostile to the breeding and racing interests The famous stallion Meddler was oae of the horses lost to America through the expatriation of Mr Mackays Ktud In the fall of 1918 Mr Mackay brought his mares and weanlings and the promising young stal lino Spanish Prince out of France The mares foaled in Kentucky this spring and have been bred for 1919 They will be sold with their produce produceThoroughbred Thoroughbred breeders in the United States are keenly interested in Spanish Prince which is a son of Ugly Galazora and an inbred representative of the celebrated Agnes family which has pro ¬ duced such brilliant thoroughbreds in Great Britain and Franco as Ormonde Sceptre Sardanapale Or ¬ nament Pommern etc etcSpanish Spanish Prince made the season of 1919 at the Claiborue Stud of Arthur B Hancock which is near Paris Ky His 1919 book filled early and there are already many applications for the 1920 season
