JWMcCLELLANDS BIG ESTABLISHMENT SARATOGA SPRINGS N Y July 30 Visitors at the Saratoga track this morning were treated to an unusual sight by witnessing fortyone yearlings under saddle the property of one establishment The youngsters were those owned by James W Mc ¬ Clelland and Edward Sims In addition to the huge band of juveniles the same confederacy have here thirtynine horses in training They are on the lookout to add further to their already extensive band and before long will have by far the largest aggregation of racing material in the country The yearlings are at the August Belmont and part of Harry Payne Whitneys places and are undergoing n steady preparation of their early racing lessons Eternal winner of last years Hopeful Stakes here and hero of many other notable achievements is the star in the older division and is expected to be a big facor in the races he starts in here Trainer Kim Patterson has him in wonderful condi ¬ tion at the present time Of the thirtynine older horses that will carry the McClelland silks seven ¬ teen are in charge of William Wallace who brought them from Kentucky With reference to the year ¬ lings Mr McClelland said that it was his inten ¬ tion to keep the youngsters here until October and give them their needed trials It is also his present plan to split them into divisions later and send some to different points to winter The majority of the colts and fillies will be transferred to winter quar ¬ ters at Hot Springs Ark Others will be moved to the Fair Grounds at New Orleans and some will be kept in New York and Kentucky Archie Zim iner ig training a number of the horses toe Sims nd JlcClelland
