Saturdays Features at Saratoga The program of the second day of the Saratoga meeting presents as its principal at ¬ traction the running of the United States Hotel Stakes for twoyearolds at threequarters of a mile and the Kenner Stakes for threeyearolds at a mile and threesixteenths Thd race for twoyearolds is named for one of the two leading Saratoga hotels and the one for three yearolds after Duncan F Kenner a famous Louisiana turfman of long ago agoThe The United States Hotel Stakes is a race of penalties and allowances and dates from 1880 when it fell to Dwyer Bros all conquering Luke Blackburn It being then a race for threeyearolds It Was made for twoyearolds in 1901 and good ones which have won it since were Burgomaster De Mund Restigouche Old Rosebud Dominant and Billy Kelly It had 164 nominations this year of which 142 are still eligible to start Being of the guaranteed value of 10000 it is rightly deemed one of the big prizes of the meeting and coveted ac ¬
