Won driving; second and third the same.- BINDING TIE was away forwardly and, showing: the most speed, raced into a good lead at once, but was hard ridden to outstay PULLUX. The latter came with a rush in the last quarter and was going fastest at the end. W. W. HASTINGS was well up from the start and held on well when ridden hard. A. N. AKIN had no mishaps. BENECIA was kept well up from the start and, taking a quick lead, raced DONNA ROMA to defeat in the first half and held ALSACE safe at the end. ALSACE began slowly and was far back for the first half, but came with a rush in the last quarter. FRIAOLITY responded well to punishment in the stretch. KEEP raced forwardly all the way. DONNA ROMA showed speed, but tired badly in the last quarter. BEES WING closed a big gap. JIFFY set the pace briefly, then raced well up and finished fast and gamely. ARRAVAN had a rough race and finished fast. TAN LAC finished well.
