TOUCANET moved up gamely on the outside after rounding the far turn and, racing into the lead, hung on resolutely in the final drive. RUBIDIUM began slowly, but gained steadily and linished gamely. AMACKASSIN raced wide on the turns, but closed a big gap and, finishing with a rush, won drawing clear. THE DECISION was a forward contender all the way and easily outstayed MURPHY in the stretch drive. MURPHY set a fast early, pace, but quit after going five-eighths in the lead. VALSPAR ran well, but had to be hard ridden to outstay BUCKBOARD. The latter came through on the inside when entering the stretcli and finished fast. WATER WAR quit and THE BELGIAN II. quit badly. KING TUSCAN closed a gap early and forced a fast pace, but tired in the final drive. ELECTED II. ran well and easily outstayed ST. QUENTIN.
