The latter showed the most early speed and came again iii the stretcli tinder punishment. SHENANDOAH raced into tho lead on the stretcli turn, but tired badly in the hist eighth. Won easily; second and third driving. PADDY DEAR, well ridden and saved behind the leaders until in the last eighth, finished with a rush, and easily passing the leader won going away. POILU raced in nearest pursuit of HOIIOKUS in the early running and took the lead on the stretch turn, but tired when challenged. FRANK WATERS finished gamely and outstayed LITTLE- NEARER in the final drive. The latter tired in the stretcli. HOIIOKUS set the early pace and tired badly in the last quarter. Scratched 14325 Capt.
