"WAR REFUGEE" WINS CAVALRY TEST AYER, Mass., October 22. It was a war refugee horse which captured the three hundred-mile endurance race for cavalry mounts that was decided here Sunday. After Ramla, the little Arab mare, had been proclaimed best of the six survivors of the condition tests of the long trial, it was learned that she was brought to this country as a result of war conditions. The horse was one of the famous Arabs in the stables of Lady Anne Blount iu Suffolk, England, and because of feed shortage there in the spring of 1918 with others was sold to W. B. Brown of Berliu, N. II., that they might be adequately fed. A
