ORESTES AS RACE HORSE AND SIRE An expert at Havana considers Orestes as unreliable in racing this winter. He is extremely "studdy" in his actions on the track nnd roars like a bull when anything touches him at the post or in a race. He is to be sent to the Diaz farm as a sire in the spring, and bred as he is the Cuban-owned horse may prove a first-class sire. He is by Tracery Kildonan, by Ladas, the dam of Doiinacoua and Aerwood, the sire of Trompe La Mort. Orestes may come to Kentucky. John Mad-ifcii considers that he has a fine future and is said ip have sought to buy a half interest in the horse.
