NEW ORLEANS ARRIVALS AT BOWIE BALTIMORE Aid March 18 A carload of sev cnteeii thoroughbreds arrived at the Bowie track AVednosday from New Orleans every horse in the car ready for the colors G R Rryson George jMcSwoeney Philip Leydecker T F Bornman George Peterson and Archie Ximmer were the owners of the shipment in Wednesdays car Pryson who sold little Wida one of the jockey developments of the New Orleans winter meeting to C AV Clark for service on the Kentucky tracks will depend on two apprentices Celto Indian Chant Oh Aes and Encrinite are the most formidable of the horses he will have ready for the Southern Mary ¬ land Agricultural Associations spring meeting which is set to begin on the first of April if pos ¬ sible and to run fourteen days Encrinite is rather a promising threeyearold a recruit from the John Sanford stable of last year Celto Is a sister to Cinderella and Jack of Spades and a haltsister of Sea Pirate and King Neptune NeptunePoultney Poultney which was rather a useful sprinter at New Orleans is MiSweeneys ace and Fleer and Jiffy the former by Astronomer the latter by Marathon are the stars of the Leydecker stable Fleer is an exceptionally useful performer on a slow track and the deep cushion at Bowie makes the going slow pretty much nil the time Fleer won several races at New Orleans He is a chest ¬ nut gelding not so good as Bullet Proof but better than the average plater Boriinians best horses are Glasstoi and Philistine Petersons are Huron IL and Thistledon and XimmerS are Kirah and three twoyearolds bought from the stable of James AV MeCklland MeCkllandClerk Clerk of the course Joseph McLennan believes that he has enough fit horses at Bowie now to see him safely through a fortnight of racing and more are coming as rapidly as transportation can be obtained Thv horses are working every day at Bowie now that the frost is entirely out of the ground
