ROSS STABLES EQUIPMENT OF RIDERS RIDERSE E Sande to Be Its Principal Jockey With T Nolan J Vvessler and L Veitch to Help HelpHAVKE HAVKE DE GRACE Md March 1 The four jockeys that will come to Havre de Grace track in the first week of April with the fortyodd thoroughbreds of various ages and kinds that will prepare here for racing in the east in Canada and in Kentucky under the silks of Commander J K L Koss of Montreal are E Sande T Nolan J AVesslur and master Leo Veitch These lads are all at the Boss Farms in Howard county Mary ¬ land helping II G Bedwell get the Koss thorough ¬ breds ready by shed exercise for real training in the open and they are already in condition for riding Sande will be the star rider of the stable and Sandes conduct over winter might well Have been emulated by every other jockey iu the Inited States Saude has not missed a day lie lives at the Ross Farms exercises his own division of the string and never goes to town without permission Nolan whose work last year indicated that he was as promising a jockey en twoyearolds as could be found seems to be quite as industrious as Sande Nolan who is a natural horseman has the honor of taking care of Sir Barton which is a stallion of some stubbornness He will do milch of the twoyearold riding of the outfit AVessler prob abalv will do most of his riding in Canada although neither Commander Koss who has put in much of the winter at the Koss Farms not trainer Bedwel is certain vet just what horse other than a string of Canadian bred two and threeyearolds reared at the Ross farm near Quebec will race under the orange and black on the northern circuit circuitLeo Leo Veitch is a sixteenyearold son of Silas Aeitch for years a more or less famous jockey and trainer of steeplechase horses who will begin his career as a jockey this year Little Veitch is quick and intelligent a good judge of pace on the exercise track and a lad of considerable address Both Bedwell and Frank llackett the business man of the Koss stable are willing to stake their reputations as judges on the prediction that little Veitch will have made his mark before the racing of PI20 is over
