WINGFIELD STABLE TO START EAST The Band Is Made Up of Twelve Youngsters of Tried Quality QualitySAX SAX FRANCISCO Cat March P Twelve horses ten of them twoyearolds the threeyear old AVaterwood by Honeywotid Shasta AVater and the sixyearold Plucky Chap J y Golden Rod Mare by Ninglass Orphery will be shipped to Havre de Grace within a week from the State Fair Grounds Sacramento making up the racing string of George Wingfield the Nevada breeder and owner ownerNine Nine of the twoyearolds are by Honeywood by Polymeliis Honey Bird by Friars Balsam and the tenth is bv Deiitschland from the imported mare Polistena by Polymeliis Mr AVingfield decided there were no culls in the lot on seeing them work on bis return from the east and directed trainer AY S Heath to prepare them all for ship ¬ ment They were shipped to Sacramento last fall from the owners Nevada Stock Farm at Reno Most of the youngsters have shown quarters in better than twentyfour seconds on u track that is by no means fast fastOf Of the nine twoyearold Honey woods seven are fillies and two colts Cahalan a bay colt from the Trappean mare Alice Carey and the brown filly Pees Nest from Busy Bee by First Tenor are big youngsters each being sixteen hands high and still growing The others are of the usual Honey wood type long and low and compactly put to ¬ gether AVaterwood is a little fellow which won a stake at Reno last fall Plucky Chap was raced last year in the Hawaiian Islands being the best the island owners sent out outEighteen Eighteen yearlings ten fillies and eight wilts which were kept at Sacramento in the winter will be shipped to Reno when the older horses arc shipped to Maryland There are twelve foals at Nevada Stock Farm some by Atheling by Des ¬ mond Wood Daisy by Cyllene and some by Honey wood
