SUIT OVER THE SALE OF DANSELLON DANSELLONPY PY E E COISSKLL COISSKLLLOXDON LOXDON England April iil It will be re ¬ membered that shortly after Danscllon ran third to Irish Elegance in the Koyal Hunt Cup last year he was sold to India In fortunately he died immediately upon arrival At Ascot on behalf of a French friend I asked the price of the horse and was told JjtSriOOO The ncrt tlrty I was informed he was also under offer to lidia I agreed with my friend the price asked was too high Evidently the Indian buyer did not close at SUiOOO but a fortnight later at New liiry approached Sir II Meux and bought Danscllon for L3000 This interesting fact came out in the law courts April 3 in the course of an action brought by Mr William Allison against Mr J C Galstaun of Calcutta to recover 1T0 being com ¬ mission on the purchase of Dansellon which pur ¬ chase it was alleged was brought about by Mr Allisons introduction Mr Galstaun denied liabil ¬ ity and pleaded he purchased the horse for 2i000 fioni Sir H Meiur but not as a result of an in ¬ troduction by Mr Allison The latter lost the case as it was clearly shown he did not intro dtce the buyer to Sir II Meux and apparently had not at Ascot disclosed for whom he was acting
