CROWDS AT AMERICAN TRACKS TRACKSSHOW SHOW POPULARITY OF RACING That thoroughbred racing is growing more popu ¬ lar in America as an outdoor sport is evidenced from the fact that Saturday saw the largest crowd ever in attendance at the famous Latonia course the occasion being the thirtyeighth running of the Latonia Derby at one mile and a half At Blue Bonnets the modern Canadian course near Mon ¬ treal a record crowd was in attendance and at Belmout Park the crowd was estimated at 30001 to see the running of the Belmont Stakes in which Man o War broke the American record for one mile and threeeighths
